Colfe’s was delighted to once again host the annual Year 10 Science Afternoon. The event brought together over 70 pupils from a variety of schools across Greenwich and Lewisham who joined Colfe’s pupils for an afternoon of science-based sessions and lectures.

The afternoon’s programme was designed to stretch and challenge able Year 10 scientists beyond the GCSE curriculum. Each pupil joined two practical sessions from the three disciplines of Physics, Biology and Chemistry, followed by a lecture given by Colfe’s Teacher of Physics Dr Suneina Jangra on ‘The Physics of Loony Tunes’ and the science which underpins the phenomenon that is Bugs Bunny.

Director of School Partnerships Zoe Kendrick said: “We very much enjoy hosting our annual Science Afternoon. It is a very popular event and provides a unique opportunity to stretch and inspire our own pupils and those from partner schools. Our Science Afternoon is the latest in the series of events in our partnership programme with local secondary schools, and the second of three science-focused events.”
