Pastoral Care
To us, you are a person, not just one of a group. We get to know you, what you need to learn, to grow and to make you happy.
What makes us different from other schools? Firstly, we are full of pleasant, normal relaxed people (pupils and staff alike). Not casual, just relaxed: at ease with who they are. Secondly, we are innovative: we continue to examine how we teach and how you learn, more effectively – this runs through everything we do. The key is communication.
From the earliest age we know you, and what you need to learn and grow: we take an interest. And you get to know us: we talk to you, we answer your questions. Classes are small. And it’s not just the class or subject teachers who watch over you. The Heads of Key Stages (in the Junior School); Head of Year 7 (for the crucial transition to the Senior School); Heads of House; tutors; the Sixth Form team and more… Everyone wants you to get the most out of your time at Colfe’s.
We do this so well that we’ve won awards for it. The TES Independent Schools Awards 2016 named our pastoral care programme ‘Best Strategic Initiative’ – the second time Colfe’s had won the award in three years.
