Academic

At Colfe’s you don’t just learn, you learn for life.

There’s always something fascinating to find out, something new to try. Our teachers don’t just teach; they are enthusiasts too. They want you to think, to discuss, to form your own opinions. We don’t pressure-cook you. We help you grow – preparing you for what comes next, at Colfe’s and beyond.

The Junior School follows – in fact, exceeds – the National Curriculum; class teaching is supplemented by specialist teaching. In the Senior School and Sixth Form you will take GCSE and A-level. In recent years over 80% of A-level grades were A*/B and the vast majority of students go on to their first choice university. Research conducted by the University of Durham showed that a pupil – of any given ability – will perform better at Colfe’s than at 87% of other independent schools. Our latest GCSE and A-level results are available here.
