The U18 boys’ and girls’ swimming teams have emerged shining after being put through their paces at the Bath Cup and Otter Relay. Both teams competed against over 80 independent schools in the prestigious competition.

The boys’ team, comprising James (Y11), Joshua (Y12), and Jakab and Henry (Y13) stormed ahead in the 4x10m freestyle relay to pick up the 3rd place trophy, the first time Colfe’s has medalled in this competition.

Meanwhile, the girls’ team, consisting of Daisy (Y10), Noemie (Y12) and Y13’s Mille and Natasha, competed valiantly to qualify for both the 4x50m medley and freestyle relays.

The Otter Swimming Club, established in 1869, is one of the oldest and most celebrated swimming clubs in the country, and the Bath Cup and Otter Relay competition is always fiercely contested.

Sarah Manzi, Head of Swimming, said: “We are incredibly proud of our U18 swimming teams. Both the boys’ and girls’ teams swam brilliantly, and displayed fantastic technique, stamina, speed and teamwork against really tough opposition. I am particularly delighted that the boys finished third in the relay. It is a testament to their commitment to the sport that Colfe’s brought home medals from this major competition for the first time.”
