Groundbreaking scholarships, transformative impact

In 1652 the Reverend Abraham Colfe made a commitment to the future when he set up a school in south east London. Our Founder’s purpose was charitable, and the school that he founded remains true to his ideals.

More than 100 pupils have joined our school under the groundbreaking Leatherseller Scholarship Programme. We were able to offer fully funded school places to 13 Ukrainian children fleeing their war-torn country. And the Headmaster’s Discretionary Fund allows us to provide flexible support wherever the need is greatest.

Support from our global community of alumni and friends, and the kindness and generosity of donors, means we can continue to offer genuinely life-changing opportunities to today’s young Colfeians.

WHAT OUR SCHOLARS SAY

"It’s not an exaggeration to say it changed my life. It helped me get into Cambridge and has given me the best possible start to my future career." - Demi Cole, Leatherseller Scholar from Trinity School, Belvedere
"I came from Ukraine with a lot of stress and fear. I didn’t feel safe, afraid that my city would become like Mariupol…but Colfe’s School distracted me from these thoughts and every day I have fun with my friends and learn new things in the classroom." - Myroslava, Ukrainian refugee and Y9 pupil at Colfe’s
