As the summer term enters its third week, the school has seen a host of sporting triumphs in both individual and team competition.

In football, Madison (Y9) is firmly on the national talent pathway after being invited to the first event for future Lionesses later in the spring, after a referral from her current club Millwall.

Athletics has seen tremendous success for Year 8’s Charlotte, who won the London Youth Games Cross Country, came 2nd in the Kent Championships and is currently ranked no1 in the London League Triathlon, and for Year 11’s Ekene, who has qualified for the English Schools Athletics Championships after success in the UK Youth Development League.

In her International Open Taekwondo competition debut, Gaia (Y9) took home the Bronze medal, performing exceptionally well against competitors from Mexico, India, northern Europe and south east Asia.

As the cricket season gets into full swing, the count of runs is growing after Freddie (Y9), Ziana (Y7) and Emily (Y12) each recorded 50s in recent matches.

Hockey has also seen individual success, with Year 11’s Amelia selected to train with the England U18s Hockey Squad at the Lilleshall National Sports Centre.

Thea (Y10) continues her stellar progress in fencing with a silver medal win at the Women’s U16 Epée at the British Youth Championship.

Meanwhile, notable team performances include the U13 Water Polo team taking Bronze medal at the National Schools Plate competition, and success in tennis for the U13 Boys, U15 Girls and U18 Boys in some tough inter-school fixtures.
