In music, Daniel (Y9) took part in the 2023 Kobe International Arts Festival in Osaka, Japan and was awarded a silver medal for his clarinet performance. He also joined a Clarinet Ensemble from Guangzhou and the Ensemble won the Gold Prize.

The summer of sport was an extremely busy one. In cricket, Dylan and Freddie (Y8) and Aaron (Y5) gave notable performances in the London Schools U12s T20. Freddie took a hat trick, Dylan was top scorer in the match, while Aaron bowled 2 overs taking a wicket for 5 runs

In athletics Year 7’s Miya came third in the javelin U13 South of England Championships, while Colfe’s waterpolo continues to go from strength to strength as Jakab (Y12) and Lily (Y11) were both selected to train for GB U19s and U17s respectively. Another notable individual performance was achieved by Year 12’s Henry, who qualified for the 200IM final at the British National Summer Championships, notching up a personal best in the process.

Meanwhile, Jack and Logan (Y11) were selected for Saracens U17 in the England Rugby Academy tournament at Malvern.

Finally, the Senior Rugby and Girls’ Hockey & Netball tour took place in South Africa. Alongside a demanding schedule of fixtures, the groups enjoyed warm welcomes from their local counterparts at several schools, and had time to explore the stunning landscapes and wildlife of the Western Cape. Expeditions included visits to the seals of Hout Bay and the penguins of Boulders Beach, trips to Table Mountain and Kynsna in the beautiful Garden Route, and an unforgettable experience at the Aquila Game reserve.
