Strong GCSE results for Colfe’s

Colfe’s pupils celebrated GCSE success today with strong grades reflecting their hard work and commitment over the past two years.

68% of pupils achieved graded 9-7 (A*-A equivalent) with 20% receiving the highest grade 9 – way above the national average.

Headmaster Richard Russell said “having followed the Ofqual/Williamson pantomime for the last fortnight, our pupils and parents were more than usually tense this morning when envelopes were opened. As a year group, they have set a new school record for the top grades and they can proceed to the sixth form with confidence where they will undoubtedly thrive, alongside all those who are joining us as new pupils in Year 12. The lasting memory of this exam year will inevitably be of chronic political mismanagement. We must all hope that the appropriate lessons have been learned by those responsible.”
