Art, Drama & Music
Music-making, singing and performing are core activities in our co-curricular programme. We have a choir, orchestra and numerous ensembles which all rehearse and play regularly in school concerts and at many outside venues.
The majority of pupils have an individual instrumental lesson each week with one of our many peripatetic Music teachers. All children have the opportunity of class recorder and ukulele lessons during KS2, Year 4 have a free course of lessons with a string instrument, and Year 3 have brass taster lessons as part of their normal music classes.
Dramatic productions make use of the modern facilities of the visual and performing arts centre in the Senior School.
Art is taught in our specialist art and design room – art work is displayed around the school and the annual art exhibition showcases all the children’s work throughout the year.
