Mathematics

At Colfe’s the ‘White Rose Maths’ scheme is used as the basis for learning.

Our aim is for all children to have consistent opportunities to develop their number fluency, reasoning and problem-solving skills. We encourage children to discuss how they got to their answers as well as develop their own reliable, effective strategies for calculating, reasoning and problem solving through logical, systematic approaches.

Our pupils are confident mathematicians who are resilient, resourceful, collaborative and curious in their approach to problems. They are excited by Maths and recognise how to apply their skills to their everyday lives.
