Assessment & Entrance Exams

Information for main entry points

The entrance examinations at 11+ take place in January each year and candidates are required to spend a full school day at Colfe’s. The morning will consist of assessments in English and  Mathematics, followed by lunch and an afternoon of taster lessons in Culture, Arts and STEM subjects. NOTE: Candidates will spend the assessment day in ‘bubble groups’ of up to 25. The format of the day is subject to change and latest COVID-19 government guidance.

The Sixth Form entrance assessment involves a written personal statement as well as two recent school reports and reference. Successful candidates will be invited to interview and offers made are conditional on achieving at least four Grade 7/A at GCSE.

Nursery & Reception Assessments
These assessments happen in the autumn term and places are offered before the end of the term. Details of the assessment and information on what to expect are available via the link to the right.
