In Years 7-9 pupils learn about the body, how to support the mind through diet, sleep and exercise and how to reflect and self-monitor to improve upon their own fitness. All enjoy one co-educational period of PE per week. A five-week rolling module of swimming/waterpolo/lifesaving, and fundamental movement skills which includes stability, coordination, motion and athletics, health related fitness, net and wall games and athletics is taught alongside theoretical concepts. Pupils are set homework bi-weekly, such as creating a balanced meal for the family, to support the understanding of how choices can impact our lifestyle.
Pupil in Years 10 and above can opt to follow GCSE PE and BTEC Sport and Exercise Science (Year 12 and 13).
