Year 12 students Amelie and Kirabo have been announced as School Captains for the forthcoming 2025-26 school year, taking the reins from current Captains Fred and Mirja.

Kirabo has been at Colfe’s just less than a year, after joining the Sixth Form from Trinity Lewisham School. He has made a big impression in the short time he has been at Colfe’s, from being elected as House Captain to delivering an assembly on Remembrance as a History ambassador, and is an active and impressive member of LitSoc, Debating Society and Current Affairs Club. Kirabo is studying History, English, Biology and Chemistry A-levels.

Amelie joined Colfe’s in Year 7 from The Pointer School. Studying Drama, Spanish, History and Psychology A-levels, she has an equally busy co-curricular life, as Drama club leader and House Captain. Amelie is a keen musician, a Senior Choir soprano and Jazz Quartet vocalist, whose solo piano, vocal and harmonica performance at this year’s House Music competition helped secure the win for Glyn House.

The School Captain role is a position of senior leadership for students, involving many duties over the course of the year from stage presence at assemblies to public speaking and attendance at official functions and events. Both Amelie and Kirabo are looking forward to embracing their responsibilities as school ambassadors. Amelie is “especially excited about the opportunities of mentoring and working with younger pupils”, while Kirabo is “looking forward to representing the school, and particularly representing the student body.”
