U19 Netballers take Bronze in Kent Schools Tournament

Colfe’s U19 netballers secured third place in the finals of the highly contested Kent Schools’ Tournament – with over 60 schools taking part.

The team played strongly throughout beating opponents including Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells Girls’ Grammar School and missing out on a regional place by just one point.

Director of Sport Nicci Rayes said, “The U19 netballers went into the competition as the underdogs having placed much lower in the previous rounds but proved themselves to be one of the strongest teams on the day despite an injury which left us without a goal keeper for the penultimate match. The girls more than deserved a medal position and were unlucky to miss out on a regional place.”
