House Books Quiz

Pupils from Year 9 recently tested their knowledge on all things books by taking part in the long-awaited inter-house Battle of the Books Quiz.

The quiz consisted of three rounds – Myths and Legends, Books to Film and Magic and Mayhem – all of which put our bookworms to the test. Each house had a team of three students and the winners of this hotly contested quiz were Ned, Samantha and Xanthe from Prendergast House with an impressive 28 out of 30 correct answers.

Henrietta Englefield, Head Librarian said “It was great to see pupils showing their book knowledge once again. We are excited to give Year 7 and 8 a chance after half term, when selected students will take part in the new National Reading Champions Quiz against other schools in the Thames Gateway area.”

Everyone who took part agreed the quiz was challenging and fun.
