Colfe’s pupils triumph in CWIZZ competition

A team of Year 7 and 8 pupils won first place at the annual CWIZZ competition – a book quiz hosted by Children’s Writers and Illustrators in Stories and Literacy (CWISL) – held at Emanuel School.

After six rounds, Colfe’s A team were announced the winners with an outstanding three point lead.

Congratulations also goes to Colfe’s B team who were placed sixth out of forty teams whilst our reserve team member gallantly joined Dulwich College (who were a person down) helping them to take second place.

“The CWIZZ was exciting and unpredictable. I enjoyed every second,” commented Y8 pupil Evan.

Assistant Librarian Henrietta Englefield also said “It was a pleasure to take such a delightful group of enthusiastic students to the CWIZZ. I thought they would do well, as this year’s heats were the most competitive ever, and they did brilliantly.”
