Careers in Sport – Talk with Real Madrid’s Global Head of Partnerships

We were delighted to invite Real Madrid FC’s Global Head of Partnerships, Alex Wicks, to speak to pupils in Years 9-13 about pursuing a career in sport.

Alex, a past pupil at Colfe’s, studied Politics & Economics at Loughborough University. After initially beginning his career in financial recruitment, he changed to the sports sector where he has been working successfully for over seventeen years.

During the informative virtual event Alex discussed his career progression from global sports marketing agency group, CSM, to Arsenal and then onto Real Madrid. He gave an overview of his responsibilities in strategy and acquisition and spoke about the sponsorship management of brands such as Emirates, Adidas, Audi and Nivea.
