Back to school at last!
We were delighted to welcome pupils back to school today. Alongside greeting many familiar faces, we also welcomed new pupils joining Colfe’s for the first time.
Staff have been working hard over the summer holidays to implement new processes to keep everyone safe and well. Although parents and pupils will notice changes in line with government guidance, overall it is learning as usual.
Bursar Max Adamson said “The operations team have worked tirelessly since lockdown – adapting to regularly changing government guidance – and I would like to thank them for everything they have done. Ahead of the start of the autumn term a phenomenal amount of work took place to ensure that staff and pupils can work and learn safely. Parents can rest assured that their children are in safe hands.”
Headmaster Richard Russell said “I am delighted to welcome our pupils back today. They have shown incredible resilience towards the challenges of the last few months and staff remain committed to supporting every single pupil in settling back to school. My thanks to the teaching and support staff for their continued efforts to ensure the school can operate safely.”
We wish everyone a happy and productive start to the autumn term.
