Hole in One for Year 6 Golfing Star
Talented golfer Truc (Year 6) has been selected to take part in the British Junior Golf Tour’s inaugural World Junior Golf Championship, taking place in Portugal in February. The championship is BJGCs first ever international tournament. The 200 competitors, aged between 7 and 18, will be some of the best young players from Europe and the rest of the world, so it is a tremendous achievement for Truc to have been invited to participate.
She will be battling it out in the 11-12 year old category against some of the best young players from 17 countries across the world. The tournament will be played out over 54-hole courses in the famed Algarve region, with the courses designed by renowned golfers Sir Nick Faldo and Christy O’Connor Jnr.
Director of Sport Nicci Rayes said:
“We are absolutely thrilled for Truc to be invited to play in such a prestigious tournament, and so excited for her to get this opportunity. She is a talented and dedicated young golfer who has managed her school commitments so well alongside her golf training, especially considering she is approaching the transition from Junior to Senior School. I am so proud of her and wish her all success in this championship. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for her in this sport.”
