Across the senior school, both girls and boys have notched up some tremendous sporting achievements so far this half term.

The girls’ U18 football team have enjoyed a terrific season and are through to the Finals of the Independent Schools Football Association Shield, following a win against Kingston Grammar in a competitive game that saw composed play and superb teamwork.

In girls’ cricket, both the U13 and U15 squads have qualified for the finals of the County Indoor championships, while the U15 girls have made it through to the English Schools U15 National waterpolo finals.

Girls are performing equally impressively in netball, where the U12s have placed in the top eight schools in Kent, and are in the semi finals of the Sisters in Sport Netball Bowl competition. At the other end of the school, the U18 girls’ rugby squad competed in the Kent County 7s tournament, triumphing in all but one match.

In boys’ rugby, meanwhile, the U14s were runners up in the Kent 7s Shield competition, while the U15s were unbeaten in the group stages of the Kent Rugby 7s, agonisingly just missing a semi-final place by just two points in the final match.

Charlotte (Y8), Olly (Y11) and Pelin (Y13) have been selected to represent London at the English Schools Cross Country Championships. Finally, in waterpolo, Issy (Y10) and Rose (Y8) have progressed to the final of the U17 National Age Group waterpolo Competitions, with Issy also competing in the U18s Otters squad in the Junior Women’s League.

Director of Sport, Nicci Rayes, said: “The herald of spring has definitely brought a spring in the step of our young sportspeople. We are thrilled to see so much activity and success in such a variety of sports. The girls in particular have been enjoying a fantastic run of results in football, rugby, waterpolo and cricket, and we wish each of the teams much luck in the finals of these championships.”
