GCSE success for Colfe's Students
Colfe’s pupils are celebrating GCSE success, with over three quarters of grades awarded (79%) being 9-7.
36% of grades were 9 – the highest award possible – whilst 59% of grades were 9 or 8. Individual achievements include Alexandra (12 grade 9s) planning to study Chemistry, Maths, Philosophy and English Literature at A-level: Ned (10 grades 9s) Spanish, English Literature, Maths and Chemistry at A-level and Holly (11 grades 9s) History, Chemistry, Maths and Physics at A-Level.
The results are some of the highest ever for the school, at a time when national grades are falling.
Headmaster Richard Russell said: “Huge congratulations to the class of 2023 and their teachers against a background of governmental determination to return to the gold standard of 2019. Thanks also to parents for all the support and encouragement at home. We look forward to supporting this wonderful cohort over the next two years as they seek to build on this success at A-level and beyond.”
