Glyn House, the new Senior school House launched in the summer of 2024, has completed its first ever Charity Week, raising just under £650 for Cancer Research UK through a busy week of activities.

Each of the six House forms organised an event, with an activity taking place each day. The week included a bake sale of home-made treats, doughnut and sweet bag sales and a pizza sale. A fiercely contested five-a-side football tournament was held, with players braving the elements and cheered on by an enthusiastic crowd. Raffle tickets were on sale throughout the week, with many prizes on offer to help banish any winter blues, including a comforting hot chocolate kit and luxury shortbread.

Head of Glyn House, James Hope, said: “It was fantastic to see our pupils proudly representing our newest House with such zeal and enthusiasm. They are keen to make their mark as Glyn House ambassadors and are already a credit to the House. We are delighted to have raised such an excellent amount of funds for Cancer Research UK.”
