Fantastic GCSE success for Colfe’s pupils
Building on last week’s outstanding A level results, Colfe’s students have also excelled at GCSE.
In a year in which it was widely expected that the proportion of top grades would fall, Colfe’s Year 11 pupils accumulated a higher than ever percentage (79%) of grades 9 to 7. 54% of exams taken achieved the top grades of 9 or 8, with 27% achieving the very highest grade 9. Nine pupils achieved grade 9 in at least eight subjects.
Headmaster Richard Russell said: “It was great to see so many happy faces in school for the second week running. Year 11 students and their teachers have worked incredibly hard this year to achieve these wonderful outcomes and all are to be congratulated. We look forward to welcoming them to the Sixth Form next week.”
