Drama Talent Shines in End-of-Year Productions
Drama took centre stage at Colfe’s this summer term, with pupils across the school delivering two outstanding productions that showcased the creativity, confidence and teamwork at the heart of our thriving performing arts programme.
Pupils in Years 7–10 brought Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to life in an ambitious promenade production that transformed the school into Willy Wonka’s magical world. Audiences were guided between locations as the story unfolded, creating a truly immersive theatrical experience. Supported by a talented pupil crew, the cast delivered energetic and engaging performances, combining humour, character and impressive stagecraft while seamlessly managing scene changes and the challenges of an outdoor production.
Meanwhile, Year 6 pupils delighted audiences with their performance of Matilda, a production packed with confidence, personality and enthusiasm. Taking to the stage as part of their end-of-term celebrations, the pupils rose to the occasion with a performance that demonstrated both their talent and the strong foundations they have built during their time in the Junior School.
Together, the productions highlighted the strength and breadth of drama across Colfe’s. From first rehearsals to final performances, pupils demonstrated commitment, resilience and a willingness to embrace creative challenges, while developing the communication and collaboration skills that are central to a successful theatrical production.
