Colfe’s Stars of Stage and Screen
Pupils across Colfe’s continue to dazzle on stage and screen, both within school and in theatre and television productions featuring talented young actors from the Senior School.
Year 7 drama scholar Henry has joined a stellar cast at the Donmar Warehouse in a production of Lillian Hellman’s Watch on the Rhine. Henry plays the grandson of Olivier-award winner Patricia Hodge in this acclaimed WWII political thriller, and even gets the chance to demonstrate his linguistic talents speaking German and French within the performance.
Meanwhile, Will (Year 11) has firmly established his role as Gregory, youngest son of the Bridgerton family in the hugely successful Netflix period drama Bridgerton. Will joined the cast at the inception of the show in 2020, and has rightfully earned his place as a fan favourite through his portrayal of Gregory, described as a “lovable terror with a heart of gold”.
Further screen success comes for Izzy (Year 12), following her part as Ruby in the latest series of the hit show Breeders. This dark comedy starring and co-written by Martin Freeman was first broadcast on Sky One, and is now shown in the US, Canada, Australia and worldwide.
Opportunities abound to shine both on and off stage within school, with drama productions throughout the year offering pupils across all years plenty of chances to perform either on-stage or behind the scenes with technical or creative wizardry. Preparations are currently underway for the Summer show Bugsy Malone, promising a riotous portrayal of this ever-popular musical.

“I am so proud of our fantastically talented young actors, and so delighted they have been enjoying such success. Izzy, Henry and Will have shone within Colfe’s and are now shining to a wider audience.
Our goal is to inspire our pupils with a love of drama and to provide opportunities, so seeing ambitions realised like this is what makes it all worthwhile. We are so lucky to have the wonderful Beardwood theatre and dedicated studio spaces for our budding dramatists to hone their craft. Whether they choose to pursue dramatic or performing ambitions outside school or not, we wish all our young performers all the best success.”
