Colfe’s School is celebrating another year of outstanding A-level success, with pupils achieving the strongest set of results in the school’s history and securing places at leading universities across the UK.
This year’s results continue an upward trajectory of academic achievement, with record numbers of top grades awarded and the overwhelming majority of students progressing to their first-choice destinations.
An impressive 94% of all grades were awarded at A*-B, while 67% of grades were A*-A, compared with 63% in 2025 and 59% in 2024 representing the highest proportion in the school’s history. A quarter of all grades achieved were A*. An incredible 100% of students taking BTEC Sports Science achieved Double Distinction** (equivalent to two A Levels). These excellent results have enabled 98% of students to secure places at their chosen university.
Among this year’s cohort are students progressing to some of the UK’s leading institutions. Three students have secured places at Oxford, studying subjects including English Literature, Earth Sciences and History. In addition, eight students will be joining King’s College London, the London School of Economics, University College London and Imperial College, meaning that around 10% of the cohort will continue their studies at Oxbridge or one of London’s leading universities.
The range of degree destinations is as varied as ever, with students progressing to courses including Architecture, Biochemistry, Economics, Law, Practical Filmmaking, Product Design and Manufacturing, Theatre and Performance Studies and Social Anthropology, reflecting both the breadth of talent within the year group and the confidence of pupils to pursue their individual passions and ambitions.
The school’s strong tradition of success in medicine and dentistry also continues. Five Colfeians will be embarking on degrees in Medicine or Dentistry next year, having secured places on these highly competitive courses.
The achievements reflect not only exceptional academic performance but also the determination, resilience and ambition shown by pupils throughout their studies.
