Colfe’s School recently welcomed back alumni who first joined the school in September 1976, marking 50 years since they began their Colfe’s journey.

The Golden Jubilee Reunion brought together former classmates for an evening of conversation and reflection, as friends reconnected, shared memories of school life and caught up on the experiences that have shaped their lives over the past five decades.

The evening began with a curry buffet hosted by Head Dan Gabriele, giving former students the opportunity to reconnect and share stories of life since leaving Colfe’s. Guests then enjoyed tours of the ‘Main Block’, revisiting classrooms and corridors that would have been familiar to them as pupils. The School Archivist also unveiled personalised materials and artefacts from each former pupil’s time at the school, prompting plenty of discussion and reminiscence.

Kathryn McNeill, Director of Development, said:

“We were delighted to welcome the final intake of Colfe’s Grammar School back to Colfe’s for this special reunion. It was a pleasure to see old friends reconnect, reflect on their time here and celebrate the paths they have taken since leaving school.”

After their visit to the school, many alumni continued the celebrations at The Lord Northbrook in Lee, where they were able to continue catching up late into the evening.

The reunion offered an opportunity to reconnect with former classmates, revisit familiar surroundings and celebrate the lasting connections formed during their time at Colfe’s.
