Best ever year for Colfe’s GCSE pupils

Another set of outstanding GCSE results for Colfe’s pupils this year with 62% achieving A*/A (9-7). The figure rises to 84% with the inclusion of B (9-6) grades. 22% pupils achieved the new top grade 9 which is above an A*. Our best set of GCSE results yet.

Amongst the individual successes Feben achieved eight grade 9s, two A*s and an A and will be joining Colfe’s Sixth Form to study Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Spanish “I wasn’t expecting to achieve such good results but I feel like all my hard work in the lead up to the exams has really paid off.”

Felix achieved five grade 9s and two A* and is planning on studying Chemistry, Biology, Music and Psychology for A-level at Colfe’s “I’m speechless but ecstatic about my results. I joined Colfe’s in Year 7 and definitely chose the right school.”

Charlotte achieved five grade 9s and three A* and will be studying French, German, Maths and Philosophy A-levels at Colfe’s “I’m so happy with my results! It was unexpected but I would like to thank all my teachers for their support over the last two years.”

Headmaster Richard Russell said “We were delighted to see our percentage of top grades on a par with our best previous performance in this year of transition from letters to numbers. Year 11 pupils and their teachers have worked hard to ensure that strong foundations are in place for future success and I look forward to welcoming them all back to school.”
