A-level results at Colfe’s hit a historic high today, enabling the very great majority of pupils to gain entry to their first choice universities. This follows the spectacular success of our Sport BTEC candidates, all of whom gained the top Distinction grade.

  • 95% of grades were A*-B (86% in 2024)
  • 65% of grades were A*-A (59% in 2024)
  • 25% of grades were A*
  • Seven students gained all A* grades and 97% of this high-achieving cohort will attend their chosen university, including the most competitive institutions and courses in the UK.
  • Four students will read Medicine and one Dentistry
  • Three students are taking places at Oxbridge, two will read English Literature and another to read Chemistry
  • Three students are heading to Imperial College, studying Chemical Engineering, Computing and Mechanical Engineering

Individual pupil reactions included the following:

  • Marcus Mclean, who achieved A*/A*/A*/A* and will read Statistics, Economics and Finance at UCL: “I’m just so relieved and excited about what’s to come. Colfe’s has offered me so much support, it’s really been the perfect school experience for me”.

  • Moses Odigbo achieved A*/A*/A* and will read Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London: “You just have to make the most of the opportunities and resources a school like Colfe’s can offer, and hard work really does pay off!”.
  • Sofi Svietik, who joined Colfe’s as a Ukrainian refugee shortly after the Russian invasion, secured A*/A/A and will now read Global Law at Queen Mary and Westfield College. One of 12 refugee students who joined Colfe’s in 2022, Sofi’s A-level art project focused on the juxtaposition of the her childhood images of Ukraine with the war torn country it has now become. 

Headmaster Richard Russell said: “It was fantastic to see so many happy faces in school this morning. This year’s pupils have broken records and secured Colfe’s position amongst the top academic schools nationally. We could not be more delighted. Thanks and congratulations to them all and to their teachers.”
