Years 10 and 11

Years 10 - 11 (GCSE)

Pupils study a total of nine or ten subjects.

All pupils follow courses in English (two GCSEs) and Mathematics. They also take Biology, Chemistry, and Physics leading either to GCSEs in the three separate sciences or to two GCSEs in Core and Additional Science.

All pupils must also take a Modern Foreign Language. They then take a further three subjects from Art, Design & Technology, Drama, French, German, Geography, History, Latin, Media Studies, Music, Physical Education, Religious Studies and Spanish.

All pupils have an afternoon of Games each week. In addition, some pupils follow a course in Information Communication Technology which leads to the ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) qualification.

All pupils also follow a non-examined course in Active Citizenship.
