Why Colfe's

In 1652 Abraham Colfe made a commitment to the future when he set up a school for children in South East London and placed it in the care of the Leathersellers' Company.  Today, Colfe's School remains committed to your  future; We prepare you for whatever life brings to you – in Colfe's, in employment, in further study, in everything you do.

We are academically selective, and we nurture talent.  Our unique and innovative ‘tougher minds’ programme helps GCSE pupils to think and work more effectively. For the next four years, thanks to £1 million in funding from the Leathersellers' Company, we can offer full-fee scholarships to bright applicants who could not otherwise afford to come to Colfe's.

New and closer relations with business help to inform you about future careers, and at Colfe's you will develop the personal qualities to make the most of your opportunities.  Teamworking, leadership, communication, resilience, initiative – our outstanding programme of outdoor education and sports, our Cadet Force and the personal guidance you receive from our teachers all equip you to face the great world with confidence.

Do visit us and see for yourself.  You will be made very welcome.
