Boys sport
For many boys, sport is an integral part of school
life at Colfe’s. Boys throughout the school have a minimum of 100 minutes per week exposure to
PE and Games.
The PE and Games curriculum offers basic skills and
understanding in:
· invasion,
· net/wall,
· striking and fielding games,
· gymnastics, swimming,
· athletics and
· health-related exercise to all of its
pupils.
Throughout the year we have an extensive competitive
fixture list for rugby, football and cricket. The majority of these matches are played on
Saturdays against other schools. We also compete in swimming fixtures against local schools, but
this is generally offered to boys in Years 7 & 8. We have a good relationship with
Cambridge Harriers Athletic Club and many of our athlete’s are referred to them through the
Greenwich Schools Athletics Association.
