Politics

Syed Kamall with John Nicols and Jessica Penny
The Politics Department is a small two teacher department which runs the Government and Politics A level course in the Sixth Form. In Year 12 there are normally 20 to 25 students studying the AS level course and in Year 13 approximately 12-15 students, these are split into two sets. Currently the department teaches the Edexcel A level course which considers the basics of how the British political system works in Year 12 and the key political issues in Year 13. The department is currently based within the Economics and Business Studies department and interactive whiteboards are used extensively in our teaching.
