The music department has a wide range of ensembles
including three choirs, senior orchestra, three string ensembles catering for different abilities,
brass, woodwind and guitar ensembles as well as smaller chamber music groups which offer a wide
range of musical experiences for pupils of all age and abilities. Recent concert venues include
Bromley Parish Church, St. Alfege's Church, Greenwich and Southwark Cathedral where the school held
its 350 year anniversary concert.
The department moved into new purpose built
accommodation in January 2003 which provides outstanding facilities for teaching and music-making.
It comprises two class teaching rooms, a music technology room, six practice rooms and recital
hall. Most recently, many of our students have secured places to read music at university and
music college, some gaining major scholarships.
