Learning Support is centrally based in Room 207 in the middle floor of the main building, it
is open during registration and lunchtimes. It is a small classroom where pupils come for small
group or individual one to one tuition. There are computers and many resources which enable us to
work on improving an individual pupil’s skills and achievements. Some pupils come to Learning
Support for a term and some for years. The aim is to respond to an individual’s needs in a flexible
and sympathetic way to enable them to fulfil their potential.
Some of our pupils have unusual difficulty with the clerical skills so important in today’s
school experience: efficient, legible handwriting and accurate spelling can be elusive even to the
brainiest student. Many of our pupils with specific learning difficulties go on to achieve
excellent results in public examinations.
