Years 12 and 13 - Sixth Form
The Sixth Form at Colfe’s offers a bridge between the directed study
of GCSE and the independent learning required at university. Students benefit from a large sixth
form with a wide range of subjects, a competitive but social environment and an emphasis on
developing independence and individual target setting. The Sixth Form Booklet outlines the
programme of study for AS and A2 courses in detail and the qualifications required for entry.
It is normal for students to take four “mainstream” subjects to AS
Level and to continue three or four of these to A2 Level. Students also have the opportunity to
take General Studies AS level in Lower Sixth and can take the full A level in Upper Sixth.
