Year 10 & 11 (GCSE) - Pupils study for a total of 9 or 10 subjects.
All pupils follow courses in English (2 GCSEs) and Mathematics. They also take Biology, Chemistry, and Physics leading either to GCSEs in the 3 separate sciences or to 2 GCSEs in Core and Additional Science. All pupils must also take a Modern Foreign Language. They then take a further three subjects from Art, Design & Technology, Drama, French, German, Geography, History, Latin, Media Studies, Music, Physical Education, Religious Studies and Spanish.
All pupils have an afternoon of Games each week. In addition, some student follow a course in Information Communication Technology which leads to the ECDL qualification.
All pupils also follow a non-examined course in Active Citizenship.
