Adventure

Education takes place outside, as well as inside, the classroom. Field visits start with overnight trips in Year 5; older years are away for up to a week at a time – hiking, caving, rock climbing, gorge walking and trying not to fall into the water. In the Combined Cadet Force there are training camps for specific skills such as leadership; and you can take the Duke of Edinburgh scheme up to Gold standard.

You learn new activities. With help from friends and teachers, you do more than you thought possible; in short, you go for it. These lessons stay with you for life, not just for school.
