School Council and charities

Each form elects a representative to the School Council. It provides opportunities for the pupils to learn about citizenship and the election process as well as involving children more in the life of the school.

Through the School Council our pupils take a lead in choosing local and national charities to support as well as the activities and events to raise money for them. Our links with the charities, encouraging pupils’ awareness of the wider world and local community are particularly strong. The school has an historic link, dating back to the 17th century, with St Mary’s Church in Lewisham, through our founder, Abraham Colfe.
