Academic overview
The School has a justified reputation for academic excellence. The curriculum includes all
National Curriculum subjects and French, which is taught from the age of seven. The children
benefit from an effective blend of class and specialist teaching within a structured and caring
environment. We aim to make the process of learning exciting and enjoyable. Boys and girls achieve
outstanding results in the National Curriculum tests (SATs), the Entrance Examination for Colfeās
and in competitions such as the National Mathematics Challenge. Specialist learning support is
provided to help each individual pupil develop confidence in their ability and maximise their
potential. All children find themselves in a community small enough to offer maximum individual
attention and yet large enough to learn self-discipline, responsibility and initiative.
