Yet again, a very successful Summer Concert took place on Tuesday 29th June. This was to be the
new Director of Music, Miss Katie Collinson’s first concert. The concert began with a performance
of The Gypsy’s Violin, which was a joint collaboration between the Prep and Senior string players.
This was narrated beautifully by Alyce Potter, conducted by the composer Jeff Moore, whilst Mr
Harper played the leading violin solo. Despite the extremely warm weather outside everyone managed
to perform to a very high standard and the interval provided a good opportunity to get some fresh
air and enjoy a glass of prosecco with some strawberries and chocolates. Congratulations to
everyone who took part.
