I have recently been selected for the London Children’s Ballet touring company. Hundreds of people auditioned for it but only a selected few got through. I was in the Royal Ballet School as a junior associate for 2 years. I thought this gave me a bit of an edge over the others but little did I know that when I got there, there would be loads of stunning dancers. I knew some of the other hopefuls from previous auditions also the main judge used to be my old ballet teacher, Ms. Collinson. I arrived at the dance attic in Fulham at 12:00 and I was there all day. I had a first audition and got through that to the second audition and then into the touring company. I start rehearsing in the summer and I have to have 2 days off school but that is all that will affect the school and my academic work. When I am on tour, I will be visiting hospices, hospitals and old people’s homes to dance for people that maybe cannot got out and have that experience themselves. It should be a great experience and a once in a lifetime opportunity. The ballet that I will be performing is Snow White and the seven dwarfs.
