TJ

It’s every child’s dream to be famous and on TV, but only a very lucky handful really ever get there. Hundreds of children queue for auditions, with only a few really getting the part. Year 11 Colfe’s student TJ has got a part in CBBC’s hit series M.I. High. M.I. High is a children’s drama series on CBBC about three students; Blane, Daisy and Rose who work as undercover spies, led by M.I.9 agent Lenny Bicknall. TJ has always loved drama, and enjoys acting in M.I. High a lot. We asked him if he was missing out on a lot of school work and he explained that he has a tutor on set, and his school teachers send in work to the set so he doesn’t miss too much. He told us he was very nervous on the day of his audition, because he didn’t know what to expect but in the end, it went well. Mr. Bruce, Head of drama at Colfe’s school told us that a casting company, Candid Casting, contacted him looking for people to play a few BBC roles. He said, ‘TJ’s unique. He’s got a cheeky look and I thought he’d be good for the M.I. High project.’ He also says, ‘I can see him going onto other things. Maybe some film work.’ All of us here at Colfe’s wish him luck for the future.
