Year 3 Act Out the Ancient Greek Myths! By Max 3B
On Friday 13
th June, Year 3 went to the Royal Naval College. I really enjoyed it, and from what I
have heard, other people enjoyed it too. The Painted Hall was lovely and it only took 19 years to
paint
We studied the gods, goddesses and mythical creatures that were painted on the ceiling and
then, with the help of Hera, we acted out different myths. I really enjoyed the acting. It was
hilarious when Jonathan put the Medusa mask on – he looked so funny! We also had a great time
making the masks which we were able to take back to school. I liked learning about the history of
the Royal Naval College and studying some of the Greek architecture. It was also fascinating to
hear about how the chapel was burned! Even though I live in Greenwich and I’ve been there many
times, I never knew there was so much to learn!
