Lauren was among Hundreds of runners of all ages, from across the UK, involved in a 2km
charity ‘fun run’ at Dorney Lake in Windsor. She battled through driving rain to raise £50 for
Asthma UK, an invaluable contribution to research into combating this increasingly common condition
in young people. A committed member of her local athletics club, Cambridge Harriers, Lauren hopes
to combine future charity work with a pursuit of her life-long dream, to represent her country as
an athlete on the international stage.
Athletic achievement is nothing new to Lauren. At Colfe’s School Sports Day 2007, Lauren won
the U13 girls' 300m race and high jump events and produced a leading performance in the
U13 girls' 4x100m relay race, breaking the school U13 shot put record, to boot!
