Colfes pupils demonstrated their stamina at the Alleyns School cross country championships
this week. Having won the competition last year, pupils in years 4-6 were keen to hold onto the
title. With around thirty children in each race Colfes children never came in after the top 15
runners. In fact, we had many outstanding performances; in the year 6 races Colfes boys and girls
dominated the field with Ruairi and Fiona placing first Chantal and Will coming in second and Tom
and Florence finishing third. In the year five event Will and Olivia also achieved third
places and Nathan narrowly missed out on first place in the year 4 boys’ race. It was a very
exciting afternoon and Colfes won the year 6 girls and boys, the year 5 girls and the year 4 boys
events. Thanks to such fantastic efforts from everyone in the cross country team Colfes won the
overall competition and remain holders of the trophy for another year. We are very proud of
how fit Colfes pupils are!
