On the afternoon of Wednesday 23 rd January 2008 students from set 1 in years 8 and 9 took part in a Team Maths Challenge in the main hall. A team consisted of two students from year 8 and two from year 9. There were 12 teams in total. The competition consisted of 3 rounds. The first round involved the team working together on a mathematical crossword, the second round was a group round with each team having to solve ten problems and a relay race to answer questions. Each round took 30 minutes. The Team Maths Challenge ended with team A winning with a score of 62 points and with team C being runners up with a score of 52 points.
It was a very enjoyable afternoon with lots of fun and was enjoyed by all those who took part.

Katherine Jones, Vivek Patel, Priyanka Chaturvedi and Charles Whittaker.
The runners up were:
Isabel Johnny, Hari Kulendran and James Cox.
The winning team will go onto the regional finals on Thursday 13 th March at Trinity School, Croydon.
