In September 2008 the Physics Department will begin teaching a stimulating new
Physics A level syllabus ‘Advancing Physics’. This contemporary course has been developed by the
Institute of Physics to make the subject exciting and relevant to pupils studying Physics beyond
16. The content is attractive and accessible, setting Physics in modern contexts.
The coursework element rewards pupils’ initiative and allows them the flexibility to develop
their own interests. We are confident that this change will ensure the continued success of Colfe’s
physicists at this level!
