Senior: 11-16

The Senior School (Years 7-13) is situated in Horn Park Lane and comprises approximately 700 pupils. In Years 7-11 each year contains five classes of approximately 20 pupils, averaging 100 pupils per year.

The Sixth Form (Years 12 & 13) averages between 160 and 180 students. From the beginning we strive to ensure that the curriculum is exciting and wide-ranging. Class sizes are small and learning is designed to be stimulating and challenging.

All pupils study Spanish in Year 7 and will begin a second modern language (French or German) in Year 8; both languages will be continued until the end of Year 9, when pupils make their GCSE choices for Year 10.  Latin is studied in Years 7-8 and may be continued through to A level.

There is the option of some limited setting in Mathematics in Year 7 and it is introduced in full in Year 8. Setting is subsequently introduced in Science and Languages.

Top sets are prepared for the separate GCSE Science examinations while all children study the IGCSE Maths course.
