  • Outstanding results for Extended Project Qualification

    A group of Sixth Form students have achieved excellent results in their Extended Project Qualification.  The results, published this month by the AQA exam board, show that out of nine students who took the qualification, six achieved A* grades and three were awarded A grades.

  • Colfe’s student through to final of prestigious music competition

    A Colfe’s sixth former has got through to the final of the prestigious ‘Norman Trotman Instrumental Competition’.

    Andrew Fisher, year 13, who plays trumpet for the Bromley Youth Music Trust (BYMT), is one of the final nine musicians in the competition which takes place on the 28th January.

  • Ex-Prisoner speaks to Year 12 Students

    As part of a series of Sixth Form Lectures, Year 12 had the unusual opportunity to listen to a convicted murderer speak about prison life and issues surrounding crime and punishment. Erwin James served twenty years in prison for murder and is now a writer for the Guardian and lectures on controversial issues such as punishment and rehabilitation.

    Director of Sixth Form Mr Drury said: I’m very pleased with the latest Newgate Papers, written by the Sixthformers. The highlights for me are Joseph Ives’ very interesting piece on this year’s trip to the Gambia and Paul-R Shehadeh’s witty and erudite account of the Cambridge Debating Competition, where we made it through to the next round. Well done to all the contributors”

  • Politics trip to Centre for Policy Studies lecture

    The Centre of Policy Studies (CPS) is one of Britain’s most reputable political think-tanks which discusses and develops policy with the interest to ‘limit the role of the State, to encourage enterprise and to enable the institutions of society – such as families and voluntary organisations – to flourish’.  It was founded in 1974 by Margaret Thatcher and Sir Keith Joseph.
